The 1st Bergen Federal Credit Union is available through O.C.E.A.N., Inc., providing financial services to members who meet credit union membership requirements. Membership is open to individuals who live, work, worship, go to school, or volunteer in Ocean County or Bergen County.

Membership Eligibility

To become a member of the credit union, you must:

• Live in Ocean County or Bergen County

• Work in Ocean County or Bergen County

• Worship in Ocean County or Bergen County

• Attend school in Ocean County or Bergen County

• Volunteer in Ocean County or Bergen County

Services

• Online & Mobile Banking

• FREE online banking with 24/7 access

• Transfer funds between accounts

• View balances and eStatements

• Make remote deposits and use Bill Pay services

• Mobile banking is available via the app on the App Store and Google Play at no cost.

• Debit & ATM Services

• Free Visa Debit Card with checking accounts

• Access to the AllPoint ATM Network with no ATM fees

Savings & Checking Accounts

• Savings Accounts – No fees, $5 minimum balance required to remain active

• Checking Accounts – No minimum balance and no monthly fee

Direct deposit is available for both checking and savings accounts.

Club Accounts

Interest-bearing savings accounts designed for specific goals:

• Holiday Club

• Teacher Savings

• Vacation Account

Club accounts earn interest quarterly with no fee for early withdrawal.

Loan Products

• Auto Loans

• Available for new purchases or refinances

• Maximum loan amount: $20,000

Personal Loans

• Available for purchases or debt consolidation

• Loan amounts up to $7,500 with terms up to 72 months

• Reason for loan must be disclosed during the application

Secured Loans

• Use funds in your savings account as collateral

• Savings become available again as the loan is paid down

• Max secured loan: $7,500
   

Credit Builder Loans

Designed for those with limited or poor credit

Loan amounts: $250 – $500 to help establish or improve credit history

Certificate of Deposits (CDs)

Terms available: 3, 6, 9, 12, 24, 36, 48, and 60 months

Minimum balance: $250
